Knight
Personal Project | Medieval Epic / Film Poster Aesthetic
00

The task was to design a poster that looks like a shot from an epic film, a shot right before everything begins. There is no action, no conflict. There is a man on his knees, a sword stuck into the ground, and an unwavering conviction that everything is about to matter.
The photograph of the knight is color-graded into a warm sepia tone, almost into a deep red. The grass shines like a battlefield lit by the setting sun. The film strip border around the top and bottom of the poster signifies that the image is literally inside a film frame. This tells the viewer right away that it is a story.
The title "KNIGHT" is set in a huge medieval-style serif font. Each letter is decorated with various details to explore. The subtitle area is designed as a ribbon with a border, which is a typical element of heraldic art. This ties the text to a specific era.
The micro-copy text "A Knight Lives / To Protect. To Serve. To Sacrifice." is placed on both sides of the poster, creating a symmetrical and ceremonial look.
What this shows a client: if you're a filmmaker, a game developer, a publisher, or an event running a medieval or fantasy theme — I can build the full visual world from a single image. This poster doesn't describe a knight. It makes you believe in one.
